ICPAC Conference 2016

Jessica Akester and Chyanne Abbott, MSc students in Chibale's research group attended the International Conference on Pure and Applied Chemistry, held on 18 - 22nd July 2016 in Mauritius. The theme for the event was “Emerging Trends in Chemical Sciences”.  Prof. Kelly Chibale was an invited keynote speaker on drug discovery in Africa through partnerships.

They were joined by staff members of  the University of Cape Town's Drug Discovery and Development Centre (H3D) who hosted a workshop on Assay Development to Candidate Drug: How to Find and Progress Small Molecule Hits from Screening.
