Gordon Research Conference and EFMC-ISMC 2016

Peter Cheuke, a PhD student in the Chibale research group attended two major conferences in August 2016.
The Gordon Research Seminar on Medicinal Chemistry, held at the Colby-Sawyer College in New London NH, USA was a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas in modern drug discovery projects. The conference focus was on "Understanding Key Concepts for Lead Optimization". See the website for more information.
Peter also attended the 2016 EFMC International Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry in Manchester, UK. The EFMC continued the tradition of covering recent progress in drug research in major therapeutic areas. EFMC-ISMC 2016 presented the most recent advances in lead identification and optimization strategies, drug design and profiling technologies. Particular emphasis was put on first time disclosures, recent highlights in medicinal chemistry, and the impact of novel organic synthesis in drug discovery. See the website for more information.
